Wow I LOVE that second picture (the one of Key bridge in the background). The golden light shining on it came out quite well! And the deep blue skies in the other pictures makes me think your little pencan has a polarizer on it?

(For Jenn) One Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and one Glory Be to the Father. That you visited the Basilica on Easter just makes me want to pinch your rosy little cheeks even more.
But at the same time, that you partied at Larry's the night before - makes me want to paddle those cheeks - for shame, girlfriend.
I could fill a whole composition notebook commenting on your astute observations about the transcendent nature of being-ness (photos 1-6). But, seeing how I'm writing this on my lunch hour and on my Boss' dime, I better just start with photo 07.
I think it's neat how the circular stonework in the archway on photo 7 hovers above the head of photo 8. It looks like her head is being crowned by a halo of solar systems emanating from a central sun. And her pensive face, looking down on the face of Zuņiga's woman in photo 9. It's the same face, is it not? Same profile, same nose and lips. Anyone else see the resemblance
anyone?
I like the transition from the halo-ed universal mother (the Mother of all mothers) looking down at Zuņiga's mother figure (photo 9) reposed in a receptive (fertile) posture. Zuņiga tends to represent women in his sketches and sculptures as the very essence of femininity. And, to me, this particular sculpture represents the whole point of woman-ness - which isn't about sublimation. I think it's more about simultaneously, being the receiver as well as being the giver
What's even more interesting to me is to compare Zuņiga's Mujer Reclinada with Big Man. Which, I would like to comment about
but, Boss Hog is trolling the halls with a scowl on his hog like face, so I better get cracking.
One last thought. The sleeping commuter - the one with his mouth wide opened - I wish you would have taken a close-up picture of him. Put the Pencam down his esophagus and snapped a picture of his tonsils. That would have been a cool shot.
I like Big Man a lot. It's an extraordinary piece of art. Thanks for sharing these photos.
p.s.
I agree with the previous caller. The blues in these photos are really deep blue. You don't have a polarizer on you your pencam, do you? Do you photochop any of your pics?

I generally do adjust the contrast a weeee bit (either increasing the contrast by 7 in Photoshop, or I just hit "auto levels"), but I rarely crop or adjust the colors.
To me, the fun of pencamming is how the pencam interprets color.
P.S.: In photo 10, I'm the Mexican girl with the brown hair. The red-head is Mary. In case not everyone was following.

You two are just too durn adorable. I could eat you both up like cotton candy. Who is behind the camera; and, what did he say to elicit such brilliant smiles from the two of you?
